Up to a third of 111 calls are ditched by fed-up patients

Getting through to 111 shouldn't be so hard. Each abandoned call is someone not getting the medical advice they urgently need.
The government needs to get a grip and urgently recruit more 111 call handlers, or people will turn to 999 instead.
