A six strong contingent lead by Totnes PPC, Mike Treleaven, will be heading for Bournemouth this weekend to attend the Liberal Democrat Party Conference. A wide ranging conference will discuss many issues of fundamental importance to the people of the Totnes Constituency including the party's pre -election manifesto launched this week. Commenting on the week ahead Mike Treleaven said:

' Liberal Democrats are the only party that has serious debates at conference that shape future policy and I look forward to participating in meetings and debates on subjects of vital importance to the people of the Totnes Constituency'

He continued:

'Amongst the many issues we will be discussing I look forward to contributing to the debates on Tourism, Education, Health and Crime. I shall also be attending a variety of fringe meetings including discussions with the NFU and affordable housing. The excellent reception given to our pre-manifesto launched this week coupled with our ever increasing poll ratings demonstrate that Liberal Democrats are increasingly capturing the public mood as the party of Fairness, Freedom and Trust'
