The Totnes and Brixham Liberal Democrats have selected Julian Brazil as their parliamentary candidate for the Totnes constituency

The Totnes and Brixham Liberal Democrats have selected Julian Brazil as their parliamentary candidate for the Totnes constituency. Julian was the candidate at the last General Election and is a well known local Councillor. He was selected unanimously by local members at a meeting in Totnes. Speaking after the meeting, Julian said:

'I'm thrilled to be the candidate for Totnes again. I live in the constituency and would love to represent our local communities at Westminster. I'm very grateful to local Liberal Democrats who have given me the chance to fight the Totnes seat again. I will do my best and we will see what happens in the end.'

Commenting on the selection, Keith Smith, the Chairman of Totnes and Brixham Liberal Democrats said:

'We are delighted to have such an experienced and capable local candidate to represent us at the General Election. Julian is well known in the area and he has a reputation of standing up for local people. I am looking forward to working with him.'

At the last General Election Julian came second with 17013 votes, the Conservatives won the seat with 21940.
