European Elections and Candidate Selection

Well, who could have predicted that we'd be discussing the UK's role in the European elections?

But, with the EU having agreed to an extension of the Brexit process to the 31st October, it has been confirmed that the United Kingdom's component of the 2019 European Elections will take place on the 23rd May.

Those of you who are Lib Dem members will have already received voting instructions for the party's selection of the South West regions candidates for the European Elections.This is your chance to vote for the list of candidates who will stand for the South West England Euro Constituency.

Nine candidates are standing for election, including Caroline Voaden and Julian Brazil from the South Hams Lib Dems. Caroline is the Parliamentary Candidate for the Totnes constituency. Julian is both a County and District councillor.

The deadline for casting votes is 17.00 on Monday 15th April.
