Lee Mill must not be swamped by extra 110 dwellings

October 14, 2018 9:02 PM

Lee MillSouth Hams planners want to agree another 110 dwellings in Lee Mill. At the planning committee Keith Baldry spoke strongly against.

He pointed out that the village could not cope with this many new people. He told the committee that there is no school, no Post Office, no meeting place, and no doctors. There is no local need for these houses.

Keith supports the strong local objection to the development - the increased traffic alone is a reason for refusal.

The planning committee agreed to defer a decision in order to find out more about local facilities and how traffic could be improved.
